Web Design Portfolio
www.stuntactionspecialists.com
The Stunt Action Specialists have truly fascinating jobs; they recreate historical or cinematic events for the purposes of live entertainment, creating a truly immersive experience for their clients. This website was a true adventure as we got to enter their world of battling knights, gladitorial combat and lightsaber duels. This website is a wonderful example of the visual versatility we can bring to a project. The challenge was to recreate, using web-based multimedia, the sense of realism and excitement inherent in their live shows. Through the use of flash animation, digital video with animated thumbnails, a fantastic flash gallery as well as wonderful graphic design based around the SAS's requisite props, the Stunt Action Specialists jump right out at you from the screen. The content alone in this website is huge and took a very long time to assemble. Quite simply though, it was a labor of love. Take a look and see what you think for yourself.
www.eatnowbrighton.co.uk
Eat Now Brighton - the easiest way to order your local takeaway food online! This is an example of one of our more complex websites. The website features a back end that is fully customisable by the client, allowing them to literally create individual menus for restaurants themselves with little technical know-how needed on their part. The website also has the ability to automatically contact the restaurants directly when sending customers orders. It was created using flash, javascript, and a lot of php. This was a particularly challenging project with many hurdles to overcome. The end result is an efficient fully functioning web-based business. We're very proud of this one!
www.paulzenon.com
The personal website of UK magician Paul Zenon, best known for his Channel 4 Street Magic series. This site is a great example of one of our bespoke creations, complete with fully animated Flash homepage, photo gallery, video gallery, online store, and original artwork by cult tattoo artist Vince Ray.
www.philliphodson.co.uk
Phillip Hodson is one of Britain's better known psychotherapists having worked in TV, Radio and newsprint as well as having written numerous books. Phillip had a very large amount of information that he needed included in this personal website. The challenge was to create an interface that could make this easily navigable. To accomplish this we used a flash based 'carousel' which breaks the website into four separate sections. We believe that not only does this achieve its intended function, but does it whilst being incredibly sexy at the same time.
www.spautz.co.uk
This site was created on behalf of Spautz, Britain's leading producer of reproduction regency music stands. What is remarkable about this project was the use of white space to create a very clean and modern image for the site, and to draw attention to the client's products. The images of the music stands were themselves encapsulated in a Flash slideshow which coupled with the white space produces a fantastic sense of serenity.
www.largeyachtsolutions.com
A website for Independent Yacht Management and New Build Construction Specialists - Large Yacht Solutions. This is our second design for this site. Due to the high-spending nature of customers within the yacht industry the promotional material that is on show must be constantly fresh. As a result we are constantly updating and redesigning this website in an effort to keep up with our client's most recent vision of what his customers are looking for.
www.bluehousestives.co.uk
This site was created for a client wishing to rent their premium holiday home in Cornwall. This site makes use of a bookings calendar with an easy-to-use back end for the client. The calendar allows the client to show members of the public which weeks of the year are available for booking whilst also allowing the client a fast and efficient contact method via a simple click on the calendar.
www.buyemba.org
This site created on behalf of the BSUF, a registered charity who work for sustainable education in the country of Uganda, is an example of a quality website that costs the client less. At Redback we offer quality web-work that falls within our client's budget.
www.gamesuite.co.uk
The website of Brighton's most popular LAN gaming cafe, a slick site aesthetically geared towards the younger audience of the computer gamer. Features of this site are its forums and drop-down navigation system.
www.thewonderbus.org
The Wonderbus is another not-for-profit organisation with whom Redback has worked. We did this one for free as we think The Wonderbus is a fantastic cause - helping older folks have a good time. We also got to work with our old friend Paul Zenon again which is always great fun!
www.eyegames.org.uk
Here we see an example of a simple one-page site for a domain intended for future development. The features here are primarily the logo design which is a Redback original, and the function to forward any email enquiries. A placeholder sites like this is inexpensive and can be extremely useful for a client who's yet to host their completed site.
www.strangermedia.co.uk
The production company of our client Paul Zenon and once again using his signature Vince Ray artwork, this site is a one-page email link. Notice how striking the page appears; a very effective graphical solution to establishing a web presence.
